Tamar Cottages 35

Two bathrooms and a washing machine are the practical draw at Tamar 35, one of only a few lodges on the site to have both. It sits centrally within the Honicombe holiday village near Callington and is laid out reverse-level for six guests, with one double and two twin bedrooms. The ground floor also holds a bathroom with a bath and shower over, and a separate shower room.

The open-plan living area combines a kitchen with an electric hob and oven, a dining table, and a sitting area with sofas, a smart TV, books and board games. Electric central heating, fuel and power are included. Bed linen and towels are provided, although you should bring your own towels for the swimming pools.

A balcony with furniture leads off the lodge and there is a lawn for children. The lodge is in the Honicombe holiday village, and stays include complimentary entry to the Meadowlands Leisure Club in Tavistock, which is off site and has a 25-metre main pool and a teaching pool. Check with the booking team before booking if you want the village's own on-site facilities. Gunnislake is 1.5 miles from St Ann's Chapel. A shop and a pub are a 10 minute walk away.

Parking is in a communal area where spaces are not allocated to particular lodges. Three well-behaved pets are welcome, a barbecue is not provided but you can bring your own, and smoking is not allowed. A stairgate, cot and highchair can be requested. It suits families with small children and dogs.
