The Linhaye

The Linhaye is a two-bedroom barn for four in Trefreock, near Port Isaac. Sea views extend from the vaulted living room, where a wood burner serves the sitting area, and the two-bathroom layout means neither bedroom has to share.

The king-size bedroom has an en-suite bathroom. A second twin room has its own bathroom too, and its zip-and-link beds can be arranged as a super-king-size on request, giving flexibility for two couples or a family. Wi-Fi, parking for two cars, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a barbecue are provided. The kitchen-diner has a circular wooden table that seats four, and the barbecue is a charcoal one. Up to two dogs are accepted.

An enclosed courtyard belonging to the barn overlooks a shared Elizabethan walled garden. Port Gaverne Beach is 0.8 miles away, a small sand and shingle cove used for surfing and paddleboarding. Port Isaac harbour, used as a filming location for Doc Martin, is around 1.5 miles away. Polzeath Beach is 3.7 miles from the barn, with Tregardock Beach at 3.9 miles. **Best for:** two couples or a small family wanting two bathrooms, sea views and an enclosed courtyard. **Less good for:** guests needing step-free accommodation.
