The Lookout is a three-bedroom cottage in New Polzeath, sleeping 6 across 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. At 300 metres from Polzeath Beach, it is one of the closest properties to the sand in the area. The cottage has an open fire and accepts dogs, which is useful given Polzeath's coastal walks.

Polzeath Beach is a half-mile north coast surf beach with RNLI lifeguards in season and multiple surf schools operating between Easter and October. The coast path from the village to Pentire Point is one of the more rewarding short walks in north Cornwall, with views across the Camel Estuary to Stepper Point. Daymer Bay - calmer and better for swimming - is about 1.2 miles south. Rock is 2 miles along the coast road, with the water taxi to Padstow connecting to Rick Stein's restaurants and the 18-mile Camel Trail.

**Best for:** Families or groups wanting near-instant beach access at a surf village, dog owners, and those who want Padstow within day-trip range. **Less good for:** Anyone seeking seclusion - New Polzeath fills up in school holidays and the beach can get busy.
