The Port House

The Port House is a four-bedroom property in Port Isaac sleeping 8 across a king-size, a double, a room with 3 singles, and a further single. Two bathrooms serve the group. Sea views are available from the property, and the BBQ and garden make outdoor eating practical in good weather. Parking is included, and dogs are welcome up to a limit of 2.

Port Gaverne Beach sits 400m from the front door - a sheltered cove that is calmer for children than the open Atlantic beaches further along the coast. Polzeath, a surf-oriented beach, is 4.2 miles away. The South West Coast Path passes through Port Isaac, giving direct access to cliff walking in either direction without a car.

Port Isaac village is walkable, with a handful of restaurants and a fish merchant on the harbour. The village featured prominently as the filming location for Doc Martin - a draw for some visitors and a minor summer crowd-puller. Shops and a pub are within the village. Polzeath's surf hire is around 15 minutes by car.

Best for larger family groups or two couples wanting space and a coastal location with walking on the doorstep. The four bedrooms and 2 bathrooms give practical separation for groups. Not ideal for guests wanting a remote or quiet retreat - Port Isaac's Doc Martin association brings visitor footfall through the lanes in peak season.
