The ground-floor master includes AV ceiling speakers and direct terrace access. A wood burner and open fire in the living area extend the season into autumn and early spring. Parking and WiFi included; no hot tub.

Mawgan Porth beach is a 300-metre walk - a wide, sheltered bay popular with surfers and families, with lifeguard cover through the summer. Bedruthan Steps is 2.3km north along the coast, a dramatic stack beach managed by the National Trust where dogs are permitted year-round on part of the beach. Watergate Bay, home to the Extreme Academy surf school, is 2.9km south. The Scarlet Hotel's spa is open to day visitors a short drive away.

Best for families or two couples wanting direct beach access on the north Cornwall coast. Less suited to guests who prefer walking distance to restaurants and shops - Mawgan Porth village is small and Newquay is a 10-minute drive.
