Greenaway Beach offers a quieter alternative 0.8 miles along the coast, while Daymer Bay is 1.1 miles south across the estuary - calmer water and popular for paddleboarding. Rock is about 2 miles south, and from there the water taxi runs to Padstow during the season. The coast path from the village to Pentire Point is a 2-mile return walk with wide estuary views. Best for families or mixed groups wanting accessible accommodation within walking distance of surf, sand, and village facilities. Less suited to guests wanting seclusion - Polzeath is busy through school holidays.
