Tregrannick Garden Cottage

Tregrannick Garden Cottage is a one-bedroom stone cottage set in the grounds of a farmhouse near Wendron, roughly 5km north-east of Helston. It sleeps 2 and sits in a private garden that wraps around three sides of the building, with a hot tub positioned to make use of the valley-to-sea views across the Cober Valley.

Inside, a wood burner heats the sitting room during cooler months. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, and the bathroom has been updated. Wi-Fi and off-road parking are included. Up to 3 dogs are welcome.

Porthleven beach, a broad sandy arc backed by a working harbour, is 5.6km away. Praa Sands, a long west-facing beach, is around 8km. Kynance Cove and the wider Lizard peninsula are roughly 15 miles south, and the Cornish Seal Sanctuary at Gweek is under 8 miles. Helston itself has a weekly market, a leisure centre, and the Blue Anchor - one of Cornwall's oldest brew pubs.

The village of Wendron is around 5 minutes from the property and has a pub and local shop. Helston, 5km south-east, is the nearest market town and has a Tesco, Lidl, leisure centre, and the Flambards heritage theme park.

This is a good base for couples who want countryside quiet with sea access nearby. Not great for those needing more than 2 beds or who want to walk to a beach. The 2-star rating reflects compact, functional furnishings rather than any fault with the setting or outdoor space.
