Tresow

Tresow is a 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom cottage in a private close at Tredrizzick, near Rock, sleeping 8. The cottage has accessible ground-floor features, an open fire, and a garden - useful details for larger groups that include older guests or young children. Daymer Bay is 1.7 miles north - a sheltered, sandy estuary beach with calm shallow water, dog-friendly year-round, and the dunes around St Enodoc Church behind it, where John Betjeman is buried. Polzeath Beach is about 2 miles further, with reliable surf and multiple surf schools operating in season. Rock beach on the Camel Estuary is the nearest water, with the water taxi to Padstow running every 20 minutes through the day in season.

Rock and the surrounding area work well as a base for the north Cornwall coast. The Camel Trail cycle path reaches Wadebridge in 4 miles. The water taxi across to Padstow opens up the harbour, restaurants, and the Camel Estuary on foot. Port Isaac is about 8 miles north along the coast road.

**Best for:** Large families or two-household groups wanting a spacious cottage with accessible features, within range of both calm estuary and open surf beaches.

**Less good for:** Guests needing to be on the beach on foot - all nearby beaches require a short drive. Not dog-friendly.
