Trevilges Cottage

Trevilges Cottage is a single-storey, three-bedroom property set at Trevilges Farm in Trewennack, a few miles north of Helston in central Cornwall. It sleeps 6 across 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, with a mix of farmland and lane setting that makes it feel more remote than the drive time suggests.

The cottage is on one level, making movement between rooms easy for mixed-age groups. An open fire in the sitting room and an outdoor hot tub between them make it a credible year-round option rather than purely a summer let. The garden includes a BBQ area. Inside: Wi-Fi, parking for multiple cars, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. No pets and no wood burner (the hot tub and open fire are the main heat sources beyond central heating).

Helston is around 4 miles north and handles all practical shopping, including a Tesco and the Flambards theme park on the edge of town. Porthleven Beach - a working harbour with a solid restaurant scene on the quayside - is 4 miles west. For the Lizard, Helford Passage Beach is 5 miles southeast, and the Lizard Point, the most southerly tip of mainland Britain, is roughly 10 miles south. Kynance Cove is just beyond. The Penrose Estate and Loe Pool are a short drive away for walking.

Best for: couples or small families who want a rural base combining coastal day trips with countryside quiet. Less suited to those needing beach-walk convenience or dog-friendly accommodation.
