Trewint Round House

Trewint Round House is a distinctive circular property on a farm near Polperro on Cornwall's south coast, sleeping four across two bedrooms. The round layout is genuinely unusual in the rental market - it is not a converted barn or terraced cottage, and the curved walls and central living space give the interior a different feel from anything comparable in the area.

The two bedrooms - one double, one twin - share a single bathroom. A washing machine is included, useful for families. Parking is on site and dogs are welcome. The property sits in a farm environment with countryside around it rather than a village setting.

Polperro village is the nearest point of interest - the inner harbour is car-free, accessible by a 0.5-mile walk from the Crumplehorn car park, or by the tuk-tuk service running Easter to October. The Heritage Museum of Smuggling and Fishing at the harbour is worth the visit. For beaches, Downderry Beach is 5.8 miles east along the coast, Plaidy Beach 6.2 miles, and East Looe Beach 6.8 miles. The South West Coast Path from Polperro to Looe covers about 5 miles through Talland Bay.

Best for couples or families of four who want a genuinely unusual property and a rural south coast base for exploring Polperro, Looe, and the coast path. Less good for those wanting to walk to the beach - all the beaches here require a car.
