3 Rose Cottages

A two-bedroom terraced cottage in the Lansallos hamlet, 3 miles west of Polperro on Cornwall's south coast. Sleeps 4 in a double and a twin - the closest of the four Rose Cottages to the beach, with a 900m footpath drop to Lansallos cove.

Inside, both bedrooms share a walk-in shower room. The kitchen-diner has electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge-freezer; the sitting room runs to an electric fire and Smart TV. WiFi and a washing machine are included. There is no dishwasher and no second bathroom. The lawned garden has outdoor seating and off-road parking is on site.

Lansallos cove, 900m by footpath, is a National Trust rocky beach with clear water for snorkelling but no facilities or lifeguard. Lantic Bay near Fowey is 3.1km along the South West Coast Path, reached by a steep 20-30 minute descent. Polperro itself - a car-free harbour village with around 13 working fishing boats and the Heritage Museum of Smuggling and Fishing - is 3 miles east; the nearest shop and pub are about 2.6 miles in the same direction.

Best for couples or a small family who want the shortest walk to a wild cove. Less good for dog owners (no pets), guests who need a bath, or anyone wanting shops and pubs within walking distance.
