Uplands

Uplands is an elevated three-bedroom house for six on the hillside above Praa Sands, with a south-facing terrace and upper-floor bedrooms that all look across the bay.

One king-size, one double and one twin bedroom share two bathrooms, and every bedroom records a bay view. A wood burner and light-filled sunroom give the house two indoor focal points, and up to two dogs are accepted in the mature front garden with its barbecue. Wi-Fi, parking, a dishwasher and washing machine are all included, and host Amanda manages the booking. The letting agent rates the property's comfort and equipment four out of five.

Praa Sands, a mile-long surf beach that's quieter than the crowds around Newquay, is about 300 metres downhill from the house. Porthcew Rinsey Cove is 0.9 miles away and Prussia Cove, the old smugglers' cove, is 1.5 miles along the coast path. Marazion and St Michael's Mount lie about 5 miles east.
