Valley Lodge 31

Valley Lodge 31 is a villa-style, reverse-level lodge in St Anns Chapel, near Callington. It sits within a lodge park just outside the Tamar Valley AONB, and Bodmin Moor, Dartmoor and the National Trust house at Cotehele are all reachable from here. The coast is less than 10 miles away.

Reverse-level means the bedrooms are downstairs and the living space is upstairs. Three bedrooms on the ground floor sleep six, and they include a double and a twin with a TV. The ground floor also has a bathroom with a bath and shower over and a shower room with a walk-in shower. Upstairs, the open-plan kitchen, sitting and dining area opens onto a balcony.

The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge and a dishwasher, and there is a Smart TV. Heating is electric, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included. A travel cot and highchair can be provided on request. The water supply is private and tested regularly.

The hot tub is private and sits on the non-enclosed rear patio. Guests can also use the park's indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools, games room and bar, though seasonal opening times apply and the outdoor pool is open only from mid-May to mid-September, weather permitting. There is allocated parking for one car. Dogs are welcome, so check the number you can bring with the owners before you book; breeds listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 are not permitted. Smoking is not allowed, and the shop and pub are 0.1 miles away. Under-16s cannot use the gym and need an adult with them in the pools, and workers or contractors cannot stay on site. The stairs to the living area make it less good for anyone who finds them hard; it suits a family or group who want a hot tub and pool access.
