Valley Lodge 55

Valley Lodge 55 sits on Honicombe Park, in the Callington area near Gunnislake, which is 2.1 miles away. It is a reverse-level lodge, so you park off the road, go up to the kitchen and the living and dining room on the first floor, and find all the bedrooms downstairs. The shop is 1.4 miles away and the pub 1.3 miles, and the park is in the Callington area.

Seven guests fit across four bedrooms: a king-size with an en-suite walk-in shower, a double, a twin and a single. A shower room with a walk-in shower serves the other rooms. The kitchen has an electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. Electric wall heaters warm the lodge, and there is a Smart TV and fast WiFi. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are covered by the rent.

Guests can share the on-site leisure club at Honicombe Park, which has an indoor heated pool, an outdoor heated pool from May to September, a sauna, a mini gym, tennis courts and outdoor chess. It closes only on 25th December and 1st January. Travel cots, high chairs and stair gates can be requested.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, and the parking has room for two cars. Smoking is not allowed, and long-term lets and contractor bookings are not accepted. This is best for a large family or a group of friends who want four separate bedrooms to share out, and less good for anyone who cannot manage the stairs up to the kitchen and living room.
