Waves End is a 1-bedroom ground-floor cottage in Portmellon, sleeping 2 with 1 bathroom and a direct position above the cove. The enclosed garden faces the water, and an open fire makes the property usable through autumn and early winter when the coast is quieter and the fishing boats are still working.

Gorran Haven Beach is 1.5 miles, Pentewan 1.9 miles, and Hemmick Beach 2.5 miles - three south-facing beaches with different characters: Gorran Haven is a working harbour cove, Pentewan has a large sandy bay, and Hemmick is small and cliff-backed. Mevagissey fishing harbour is a short drive and has restaurants, a fish smokery, and a boat trip operator running seasonal wildlife tours.

Best for couples who want a beachside position on the quieter south Cornwall coast with direct access to small coves and a harbour village nearby. The Sunday changeover is unusual and worth checking against travel plans. Less good for those needing a beach within walking distance - Portmellon is directly below but access varies with tide. No pets accepted.
