White Pebble Cottage

White Pebble Cottage is a two-bedroom stone cottage in Port Isaac - the north Cornwall fishing village known as the filming location for Doc Martin - 75 yards from the harbour and adjacent to a millstream. It sleeps four and comes with private parking, which matters here: Port Isaac's medieval street layout means on-street parking is near-impossible in summer.

The cottage sits at the heart of the old village, with a small selection of pubs, restaurants, and shops a few minutes walk. A grocery store sits at the top of the hill, about a quarter of a mile away. On summer evenings, the Fisherman's Friends sea shanty singers sometimes perform by the quayside.

Port Gaverne Beach is 0.6km - a sheltered cove a short walk round the headland. The sandy Camel Estuary beaches at Polzeath, Daymer Bay, and Rock are roughly 15 minutes by car. Boscastle and Tintagel's medieval castle ruins are both around 10 miles. Wadebridge, 9 miles away, covers supermarket runs.

Best for couples or small families who want to be in the middle of a working village rather than isolated. Less good for those who want a big sandy beach within walking distance - the nearest sand is a short drive.
