The first-floor balcony looks out over the Presingoll valley, with distant sea views on clear days. St Agnes sits above Trevaunance Cove on Cornwall's north coast, a village known for the Wheal Coates engine house on the cliff edge and St Agnes Beacon, which gives 360-degree views across the county. The South West Coast Path runs through the village.

Trevaunance Cove - the village beach, with old harbour walls still visible and surf in season - is 1.3 miles away. Perranporth, with over 2 miles of sand, is under 4 miles north. The coastal walk from St Agnes south to Chapel Porth and Porthtowan passes the Wheal Coates engine house, one of the most photographed on the Cornish coast.
