Clonmore is a single-storey cottage on the edge of Bodmin, sleeping four in two bedrooms. The property sits on Foulston Way with off-road parking for two cars and a garden with patio, furniture, and a summerhouse that doubles as bike storage.

Inside, the open-plan layout combines kitchen, dining area, and sitting area around a woodburning stove - a starter fuel pack is included. The king-size bedroom and a bunk room share a bathroom with bath and shower over. Smart TV and WiFi are provided. A highchair and travel cot are available on request. Two well-behaved pets are welcome.

Bodmin is an inland town, so the nearest coast is some distance away. Carlyon Bay - a long sandy beach near St Austell with gentle shallows suited to families - is 9.1 miles south. Port Gaverne Beach, a sheltered cove near Port Isaac with calm water and rock pools, lies 9.4 miles to the north-west.

The town itself sits on the western edge of Bodmin Moor, with the Camel Trail running 11.5 miles from Bodmin to Padstow along a largely flat disused railway line. Lanhydrock House, a National Trust estate on 890 acres above the River Fowey, is 2.5 miles south-east. The Bodmin and Wenford Railway runs steam trains on a 13-mile round trip. Local shops are 0.3 miles away, with a pub 0.4 miles from the door.

Best for a couple or small family with up to two pets wanting an inland, single-storey base near Bodmin Moor. Less good for anyone planning beach days without a car, since the nearest sand, Carlyon Bay, is 9.1 miles away.
