The Looe Valley Line, a rural branch railway from Liskeard to Looe, runs close by and is one of the more scenic short train journeys in Cornwall.

Golitha Falls, a National Nature Reserve on the River Fowey at the southern edge of Bodmin Moor, is around 5 miles north. The Adrenalin Quarry activity centre, with zip wire and bungee experiences, is 0.6 miles from the cottage. Liskeard has a supermarket for stocking up on arrival.

This cottage is ideal for couples wanting an accessible rural base within driving range of both coast and moor. Good for low-mobility guests who value flat, step-free access. Not great for guests wanting to walk to beaches, as the nearest is a 20-minute drive.
