Dartmoor 2

Dartmoor 2 is a four-bedroom lodge on Honicombe Holiday Park, on the edge of the Tamar Valley, 4.3 miles from Callington. It sleeps eight, and the bedrooms are spread over two floors: a double and a twin on the ground floor, with a king-size and a twin upstairs.

The bathroom has a bath, and a ground-floor cloakroom has a shower. The kitchen is fitted with a dishwasher, microwave and an electric oven and hob, and there is a Smart TV and WiFi. Heating comes from night storage heaters. Bed linen, towels, fuel and power are all included, and a travel cot can be provided on request.

Outside, a rear garden has a picnic bench and lawn, and a patio has a table and chairs. Parking is off-road. Guests can use the park's indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools and its gym. The outdoor pool opens from mid-May to mid-September, weather permitting, and other park facilities may keep seasonal opening times. Under-16s cannot use the gym, and under-16s in the pool need an adult with them, as there are no lifeguards. The park has a shop, and a pub is a 10-minute walk away.

Two well-behaved pets are welcome, with a supplement for the second, and a dog bed, bowls and crate are available. Breeds listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 are not permitted. Smoking is not allowed, the water supply is private and tested regularly, and site rules mean holiday bookings only, with no working parties or contractors. The lodge suits a family or two couples with a dog who are happy with stairs, and is less good for anyone wanting all the bedrooms on one level.
