Dolphin House

Dolphin House is a 300-year-old five-bedroom cottage for ten guests on Dolphin Street in Port Isaac, the north-coast fishing village known as the filming location for ITV's Doc Martin. Two bedrooms have king-size beds and three are twins; one twin can be pushed together into a continental-style super-king.

Three bathrooms serve the group. Original Cornish slate and timber panelling, reclaimed from old ships, sit alongside a wood burner in the living space. Wi-Fi, parking and a dishwasher are included, though there is no washing machine, so guests should plan for a shorter stay or a local laundrette. Host Charlie manages the booking.

A private hot tub, garden and barbecue add outdoor facilities, and one dog can stay.

The South West Coast Path is described as starting at the door. Port Gaverne Beach is 600 metres away, Tregardock Beach is 3.4 miles and Polzeath Beach is 4.0 miles. Restaurants, pubs and the annual Sea Shanty Festival are also named within walking distance, and Nathan Outlaw's Michelin-starred restaurant is in the village itself.

**Best for:** larger families wanting flexible twin beds, a hot tub, a wood burner, a garden and Port Isaac on the doorstep. **Less good for:** ten guests wanting more than three bathrooms, or anyone needing laundry facilities, EV charging or verified accessibility.
