Port Isaac village is a few minutes' walk - the harbour, the pubs, and the fish restaurant scene that put the village on the map. Tregardock Beach is 3.2 miles north along the coast path for a more remote walk, and Polzeath is 4.2 miles for surf and hire shops.

Best for large groups or two families who want a dog-friendly base with a proper beach within walking distance. Less good for guests expecting a quiet retreat during peak school holidays - Port Isaac draws significant visitor traffic in July and August.
