Gwel Mor

Gwel Mor is a five-bedroom farmhouse in the hamlet of Trelights, three miles inland from Port Isaac, sleeping 10 across five bedrooms - three super-king-size (two convertible to twins) and two twin rooms, with en-suite bathrooms in two rooms. The main sitting room has a wood burner, and there is a second sitting room for larger groups.

Outside, the heated swimming pool is open late April to September, enclosed within a large lawned garden that also has a furnished patio and BBQ. A parking area accommodates multiple vehicles. Two dogs are welcome with a dog limit of two.

Port Gaverne Beach is 1.4 miles away along quiet country roads. Port Isaac village - known for its narrow streets and Doc Martin filming locations - lies 2 miles from the property. Polzeath Beach is 3.5 miles; Daymer Bay 3.9 miles. Rock and Padstow are both within 10 miles.

The house is best for large families or two households wanting shared space alongside private bedrooms. The two sitting rooms mean adults and children can separate in the evenings. It is less good for couples or small groups who want a simpler base, given the scale of the property and rural lane location that requires a car for most outings.
