Fistral Beach draws Atlantic swell year-round and hosted Boardmasters - the UK's largest surf and music festival - for many consecutive Augusts. At 300 metres, the walk takes under 5 minutes. Towan Beach is 0.7 miles east toward Newquay town centre, wider and sandier with lifeguards from May. Crantock Beach is 1 mile south across the Gannel estuary - consistently less crowded than Fistral on summer weekends and better suited to young children.

The South West Coast Path passes directly along the Pentire headland, connecting north toward Pentire Point and south to Holywell Bay. Newquay town centre - restaurants, surf shops, and the Blue Reef Aquarium - is around 15 minutes on foot.

Best for surfers travelling with boards who want a surf cage, 300m to the water, and secure underground parking. Less good for guests needing step-free access, a pet-friendly property, or sea views.
