Haven Lodge

Haven Lodge is a two-bedroom dog-friendly cottage on Bossiney Road, Tintagel, sleeping four with two bathrooms. Bossiney Cove is 500 metres away - a narrow north Cornwall cove reached via a steep path through the valley to the sea.

Inside, the cottage is compact and practical. Two bedrooms sleep four; two bathrooms. A garden, off-road parking, wifi, and dishwasher are all included. Dogs are welcome throughout, and with a garden at the property there's room to settle them in.

Tintagel Castle sits on its dramatic headland about a mile from the cottage. The clifftop ruins draw visitors for the Arthurian connections and the Atlantic views from the bridge over the gorge. The South West Coast Path runs above Bossiney Cove, with Tregardock Beach - a remote, tide-dependent strand reached via a cliff path with no vehicle access - accessible 3.4 miles north along the cliffs. Port Gaverne, a small sheltered cove popular with kayakers, is 6.2 miles south near Port Isaac. The village of Boscastle, with its steep harbour and the Museum of Witchcraft and Magic, is under 10 miles north.

Best for couples or small families wanting beach access and coast path walking on the north Cornwall coast. Less good for anyone who struggles with steep descents - Bossiney Cove involves a significant drop to the waterline.
