Spindrift

Spindrift is one of the oldest cottages in Polperro, set over four floors on the warren in the middle of the village and sleeping six. The South West Coast Path runs past the front door, and the sitting room on the first floor looks out to sea and the harbour entrance. Guests staying in Polperro will find the shop and pub 0.2 miles away and the beach 0.3 miles.

The layout runs from the basement up. The kitchen/diner sits below the entrance hall and boot room, with a steam oven, induction hob, dishwasher, washer/dryer and a dining table for six. The first-floor sitting room has a woodburning stove and a Smart TV; fuel and a starter pack are included in the rent, along with bed linen and towels. There are three bedrooms: a king-size on the lower ground floor, a double on the ground floor and a twin. The ground-floor bathroom has a free-standing bath and a walk-in shower.

Parking needs planning. The property is not reachable by car, and the designated space is roughly ten minutes' walk away. Polperro Luggage Taxis run a quad-bike delivery for bags at the start and end of a stay. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, and smoking is not allowed anywhere in the cottage.

Spindrift suits couples, families or friends who are happy with a ten-minute walk from the parking space and several flights of stairs; it is less good for anyone who would struggle with four floors or a walk from the car. Looe is 4 miles away.
