Star Cottage

Star Cottage is a two-bedroom historic cottage on the traffic-free Warren in Polperro harbour, sleeping four. The property sits directly above the water on a pedestrian-only lane, with harbour views from the kitchen-diner and most rooms.

Two bedrooms sleep four: one double and one bunk-bed room. Note that the bunks are not full length, making the second room practical for two adults and two children rather than four adults. The refurbishment has retained the period character while updating fittings throughout. WiFi, a washing machine, and accessibility features are included. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out is by 10am. The living room has two sofas, an electric fire and a 40in Smart TV with a DVD player, and the bathroom has a three-quarter-length bath with a shower over.

Parking is on-site - a significant advantage in Polperro, where most visitors leave their car at the main car park at the top of the hill and walk or take the horse-drawn bus down. From the cottage door, the harbour, beach, pubs, and shops are two minutes on foot. The South West Coast Path runs west to Talland Bay and east to Looe.

A strong match for couples or a family of four who want to be at the centre of village life without sacrificing parking. Less suited to large groups - the second bedroom has physical size limits. Changeover day is Saturday.
