Trevellas Cove is 1.2 miles - a narrow rocky inlet at the foot of the old Blue Hills tin mine valley, popular with kayakers and rock poolers but not suitable for swimming. Trevaunance Cove at St Agnes is 1.5 miles - a surfable beach with a cafe and pub within 100m. Perranporth Beach, 1.9 miles of sand exposed at low tide, is 1.9 miles. St Agnes village has independent shops, a pub, and a primary school - it is one of the most coherent old mining towns on the north coast.
