Tean Cottage

Tean Cottage is a three-storey two-bedroom cottage near the centre of Polperro, the working fishing village 4 miles west of Looe. It sleeps four with a private parking slot - a real advantage in a village where cars cannot enter the inner streets.

The layout runs vertically across three floors, the standard for old village cottages here. The kitchen and living room are set up for self-catering, with two bedrooms above and a single bathroom. Wifi and a washing machine are in.

Outside, a small terrace gives space for morning coffee or a glass of wine, and the parking slot sits next to the property. A garden area completes the outdoor space. Dogs are welcome.

The harbour, the Polperro Heritage Museum of Smuggling and Fishing and the Three Pilchards pub are a short walk down. The South West Coast Path runs through the village: south-west to Lansallos (National Trust cove, footpath access only) or 1 mile east along the cliffs to Talland Bay for swimming. Boat trips run from the quay May to September. Best for a couple or family who value being able to drive in and out without the Crumplehorn shuttle. Less good for guests with mobility issues - the three-floor layout means stairs throughout.
