The Wheal Coates engine house, one of the most recognisable mine ruins on the Cornish coast, sits on the cliff above Chapel Porth beach, about 1.5 miles south along the South West Coast Path. St Agnes village itself has independent shops, galleries, the Taphouse pub, and a bakery a few minutes' drive away.

Best for: couples or small families with dogs who want a rural, agricultural-character property within reach of the north coast surf beaches and St Agnes' independent village scene. Less good for: those who need more than one bathroom, or guests wanting to walk to a beach rather than drive.
