The house sleeps 6 across three bedrooms. The king-size master has its own rainfall-shower en-suite; the other two bedrooms share the remaining facilities. Living space opens to a large decked terrace at the back and a Juliet balcony at the front with views over the village rooftops. BBQ, enclosed garden, and parking on the cottage.

Portreath Beach is 700m down through the village - a sandy bay between two headlands, with the 18th-century tin and copper harbour wall on its eastern end and the village surf school on the sand. Lifeguarded in summer. The Beach Bar sits on the slipway. The South West Coast Path west reaches Hell's Mouth in 3 miles and Godrevy lighthouse in 5; east reaches Porthtowan in 3. Tehidy Country Park, 250 acres of woodland and lakes a dog can run off-lead in, lies 2 miles inland.

Best for a dog-owning family of six wanting a low-key north-coast base with EV charging and three bathrooms. Less good for groups expecting sea views from the windows - the views are of the village, not the water.
