Westaway House

Westaway House is a six-bedroom house in Trelights near Port Isaac, sleeping 13 across 9 bathrooms - a ratio that makes it a practical choice for large family gatherings or multi-generational groups.

The main house has a sunroom with bi-fold doors opening onto a large deck, with sea views from multiple rooms. A wood burner in the snug provides a focal point in cooler months. Outside, a heated outdoor pool and a wood-fired hot tub sit in the grounds, alongside a pool house fitted with sofa beds and a games table - useful overflow space for groups at the upper end of the capacity. On-site parking is available. The property does not accept dogs.

Port Gaverne Beach - a sheltered cove with calm clear water for swimming and rock pools at low tide - is 1.2 miles away. Polzeath, a more exposed surf beach, is 3.4 miles, and Greenaway Beach 3.9 miles. Port Isaac itself, with Nathan Outlaw's Michelin-starred restaurant and the narrow harbour streets familiar from the Doc Martin filming locations, is a short drive. The South West Coast Path runs west to Port Quin and east toward Padstow. Read more about Port Isaac.

**Best for:** Large groups of up to 13 wanting a high-spec north Cornwall base with a pool and hot tub, coast path access, and easy reach of Port Isaac.

**Less good for:** Those needing a dog-friendly property, budget travellers, or small groups who would find a 6-bedroom house oversized.
