Captain's Walk

Captain's Walk is a six-bedroom house on Chapel Hill in Newquay, set back from the harbour on one of the town's oldest streets. The property sleeps 12 and has an open fire in the sitting room - a practical asset for cooler months on the north Cornwall coast.

The ground floor includes a super-king bedroom (zip/link, convertible to twin), a separate dining room, and a kitchen-diner with Smart TV. Upstairs, five further bedrooms include a king with en-suite walk-in shower, a twin with en-suite, a second king, a second twin, and an adult/child bunk room. Three bathrooms serve the house, including a cloakroom with heated towel rail. A Nespresso machine, dishwasher, and two Smart TVs are provided.

Outside, an enclosed rear courtyard has an outdoor shower - useful after beach trips. Off-road parking fits 2 cars. Towan Beach is 300 metres away, directly below the town centre, and merges with Great Western Beach at low tide. Fistral, the north coast's main surf beach, is 900 metres west.

Newquay has 11 beaches within walking or short driving distance, plus the harbour, Sea Life Centre, and a year-round surf scene. The town has direct rail links and Cornwall Airport Newquay is 5 miles from the centre.

Best for a large group of up to 12 splitting three bathrooms across six bedrooms, 300 metres from Towan Beach. Less good for guests all driving separately - off-road parking covers only two cars.
