The Salt House

The Salt House is a terraced house in the heart of Newquay, sleeping 12 across six bedrooms spread over three floors - built for a large family or friend group rather than a couple's break. The ground floor holds an open sitting room and a kitchen/diner, the natural spot for planning a day out or comparing notes on the surf. Upstairs, three of the six bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, with a family bathroom on the first floor covering the rest. There is a dishwasher and washing machine, but no hot tub, swimming pool, wood burner or EV charging point.

At the rear of the house, an enclosed courtyard has a barbecue and outdoor furniture for group meals away from the street, and dogs are welcome. Fistral Beach is about 0.4 miles away, Towan Beach a similar distance, and Great Western Beach roughly 0.7 miles along the coast. The coastal path runs close by, climbing above Fistral toward the Pentire headland with sea views across to Crantock. Newquay's town centre, with its pubs, cafes and takeaways, is within easy walking distance, and the harbour is a short walk beyond that.

Best for large family or friend groups who want to walk to Fistral and the town's restaurants and nightlife without needing a car - a highchair and stairgate are provided for families with young children. Less good for guests who struggle with stairs, since bedrooms are spread across three floors with no lift, or for anyone wanting a hot tub or pool on site.
